Hotties of Week 4 and 5

Week 4: Clinton Portis #26 RB Week

Week 5: Michael Turner # 33 RB

Questions of the Day?

Who’s the most underrated TE in the game right now?

Now guys can watch half-naked women play football. The lingerie football league will start its first full season in 2009. I wonder why someone didn’t think of this idea earlier. What thoughts on the LFL?

Week 4 & 5 Wrap Up

In week four, the Redskins showed the rest of the world that they mean business, T.O starting crying like a baby again( big shocker) and a professional football team from the state of Ohio actually won. At least the Browns are out of Ditka’s Dog House, right? Things are looking pretty bad for T.J., Chad, Carson and I smell a trade coming upon us. Ohio may not be the state for football at the moment but if you keep on heading east on I-90 you’ll hit the great state of New York. Things were muy caliente in the big apple in week four. The G-men had a bye week but Brett and the Jets put up a whopping 56 points against the Cards. I guess Favre still has his magic. 6 TDs is not too shabby for a guy pushing forty ;)

In week five we witnessed the battle of the egos. For some reason Ocho Cinco and T.O. could shut their mouths. I really wasn’t in the mood to hear another word from either wide receiver but hey that’s football. OC did get one thing right though. He kissed the stars (and the playoffs) goodbye after Cincy lost to the Boys. The same might be true for the Eagles and the Bolts. The NFC East is just a brutal division and if the Eagels want to make it to the playoffs they need to win games. (A prayer may help as well). The AFC West may be weak but the Chargers are 2-3 and really need to step things up. I’m not convinced that they can win their division. Get your team together Norval Turner!!

Week 3 Highlights

1. Joey backing up his trash talk. Welcome to the NFL Matt Cassel :)
2. The Chargers killing Brett and the Jets on MNB, Monday Night Blowouts.
3. Warren Sapp working his version of the quickstep on Dancing with the Stars. Hey big guys can dance too.
4. The Viks finally getting their first win. Hey can we get AP on the cover of GQ next time?
5. T.O. being unselfish. #81 must be reading my blog.
6. The Bills making it to 3-0. Are they the favorites to win the Super Bowl this year?
7. Philly winning without Westbrook. Forget about Favre . It's all about McNabb magic!
8. Ocho Who?
9. The Giants are still the reigning SB champs. Some football fans have advanced dementia.
10. Detroit firing Matt Millen 7 years too late. I predict that Detroit will win 10 games this year:)

Just for the Ladies

The Pass Him Over Here Hottie of the Week
Mike Brown # 30, SS DA BEARs

Don't call it a comeback but Mike Brown had two sacks against Carolina. He's looking quite sexy in this pic too...

Question of the Day

Can the Viks get their act together and make it to the playoffs?

Week #2: Put the T.O .back in Teamwork

Why are receivers so cocky? Mr. Chad Ocho No No , Randy Moss and Terrell Owens all seem to think that the world revolves around them. Football is a team sport and when everyone doesn't work together things fall apart." I Love me some me" translates into defeat. Just think about it for a second. Chad, Randy and T.O. are all missing one thing. I'm sure you can guess what that is? Nevertheless, I do feel as if T.O is becoming a better teammate now that he's with the Cowboys but he still has a lot of work to do.

Let's face it, cockiness helps no one. Every football player on the field needs to be confident but there is a thin line between confidence and cockiness. A great football player cannot let his ego disrupt the relationship he has with his teammates. Furthermore, cockiness can make a person look pretty stupid sometimes. For example, DeShawn Jackson looked like the biggest idiot on national television when he let go of the football just short of the goal line to perform his celebration dance. I'm pretty sure that Dancing with the Stars will be calling Mr. Jackson in the near future. However, I'm positive that Warren Sapp can out perform this kid any day(on and off the football field). So the moral of the stories kiddies is that we all need to be nice, share and work together. It's really that simple. Terrell can throw ego is the garbage and put the TO back in teamwork. It sounds kind of cheesy but I'm sure #81 can work with his teammates and help the Cowboys win a playoff game this year.

Just for the Ladies

The Pass Him Over Here Hottie of the Week
Matt Ryan QB #2

I hope Matt Ryan keeps up the good work. He can't play Detroit every week.

Fantasy Football & Question of the Day

Fantasy Football

I have officially lost my football fantasy virginity and I'm addicted!. I'm in three different leagues and somehow I was able to win all of my match-ups. I even had Tom Brady on one of my teams and still won. Can someone say beginner's luck. Well I hope it's more than luck because I'm trying to win it all.

Now if only I could lose my real virginity : )

Question of the Day

Can Denver win the AFC ?

Bye Bye Brady

This was on a Steelers-fan website. Love it or Hate it ?

Week 1: Welcome to the NFL

Maybe the Raiders should have shown up for Monday Night Football. It was so sad to see Cutler murder Howie's old team in Oakland. I also didn't see much of Darren McFadden. I guess all of the draft hoopla was too much for him. It's only the first game but he has some work to do if he wants to catch up with the rest of his rookie class. A lot of the rookies had spectacular games this week. Matt Forte, Matt Ryan, Joe Flacco, and Eddie Royal all scored touchdowns during their season opening games.I have to say that I was impressed the most by Matt & Matt (my new radio show). Everyone in Bears camp was talking about Matt Forte but when the kid took on Bob Sanders in the open field, I was like WOW. Matt Ryan also surprised me. His first pass was a touchdown! You can't start off your pro football career any better. I know I'm getting too excited about the rookies after one week, but I hope all of them do well.

Some former backups did pretty well as starters this week too. Aaron Rodgers, Matt Cassel and Michael Turner all led their teams to victory. I guess when you watch the best for a few years you can become the best. This week, I have to tip my hat to Aaron Rodgers. After the whole Brett fiasco, Aaron Rodgers held his head up high and played to the best of his ability. I really enjoyed watching Mr. Rogers and the mean green fighting machine from the neighborhood take on Mr. Hotness (aka Adrian Peterson) and the Purple Pirates. I know that DA BEARS will beat both teams during the regular season but that's enough smack talk for today. I wish the best of luck to Aaron Rodgers and Matt Cassel. They both have big shoes to fill. And to Micheal Turner>> YOU ARE RIDICULOUS!

I can't wait unit Next Sunday. Watching football while eating pizza and ice cream makes my life complete.

Favre to New York??

ESPN has just reported that Brett Favre has just been traded to the Jets. Yes sir, this ol' country boy is hitting the BIG city. Favre will now join my husband T.Jones in NYC and I'm a little bit surprised. Are the Jets trying to take all of the good players from the NFC North ? Well I hope the Jets beat the Pats this year. Watch out Brady there is a new sheriff in town.

Icing on Top

Brett Farve is a Green Bay Packer again and I’m not surprised. However, the question still remains as whether or not Brett will stay in the cheese head town. While it would be weird to see Brett in a Vikings or Bears uniform, I would still like to see him play. Brett truly loves the game of football and he doesn’t care about the money aspect of the game, he just wants to be on the field. How could you blame him for wanting to come back? When you eat, sleep and breathe football it’s hard to let go. Furthermore, the Pack had an amazing season last year and Brett is hungry for more. If the Green Bay Packers really want Brett to retire, they need to help him win another Super Bowl. Every great player wants to finish on top. No one wants to go out as a loser. Brett is a hall of fame player hands down but another Super Bowl win would solidify his legacy.

The Packers are now faced with big dilemma but the organization can survive all of this chaos. Favre has to be put in as the starting quarterback or traded to the Minnesota Vikings. The Pack can’t make it to the Super Bowl with Rodgers as their quarterback and the thought of having Brett Favre sitting on the bench makes me cringe. The other option is to send Favre to Minnesota. The Vikings would be unstoppable in the NFC if they acquired Favre. AP, Favre and Bernard Berrian would make up the modern day dream team. Plus the Viks are due for a championship (just like the Cubs). It’s really that simple. Get Favre another ring and he’ll retire for good. My sympathies do go out to Aaron Rodgers but for now it’s still all about Favre. However, I can’t wait for the Bears to sweep the Pack again this season. The Viks also need to watch out because we're out for revenge. And the Bear defense could care less about the color of Favre's jersey. Vik or Pack, the Bears will still get him every time.

More trouble on the home front

Devin Hester, a two time pro-bowler and NFL record holder has refused to show up to Bears training camp.

Can you guess how much money he makes in the NFL? I would hold out too.....I still <3 Devin but this sucks for the fans.

This just in...

Jason Taylor has been traded to the Redskins. Can Jason dance the Skins to another playoff birth? By the way, I think Jason tries a little bit too hard to be sexy. The first pic of him is hilarious.

Just For the Ladies

The Pass Him Over Here Hottie of the Week

The Rams haven’t been hot since Christina Aguilera’s What a Girl Wants topped the Billboard charts but Steven Jackson did run for 1,002 yds in the 2007 season. So this sexy man is the Hottie of the Week. Ooh La La.

PCL Question of the Day

Are the Jacksonville Jaguars underrated?

You Drink & Drive. You Get Cut (A message from the Texas Department of Transportation)

Bon voyage Cedric Benson! I cried the day Thomas Jones was traded to the Jets. The day Cedric Benson was cut I cried TEARS OF JOY. It was one of the happiest days of my life because TJ got the last laugh. The first time Benson was arrested I reluctantly gave him the benefit of the doubt. The second time Benson was arrested I knew it was all over. Needless to say Ced isn’t bringing sexy back with his mug shot. Maybe Ced should try downloading the Blood Alcohol Level application onto his iPhone.

As for the Bears…my team will be OK but there's a lot of work that needs to be done and someone has to step up (hint hint Matt Forte). The Bears also have a new Jones in town and while he’s not as sexy as my hubby TJ, it doesn’t hurt to have him on the team.

Hot Guys

Shhhhhh don’t tell anybody but I’m madly in love with Adrian Peterson from the Viks. I feel guilty saying this being a Bears fan but the man is gorgeous and I have a special place in my heart for running backs. Thomas Jones will forever be my football king but Adrian is my prince in shining armor( and yes I'm twelve). Maybe I can put on my beer goggles and look at Chicago’s AP as if he was the Viks’ AP. I’ll let you know how that goes….And just for the record, I am not a Viks fan and I only love Adrian Peterson when he’s NOT playing against the Bears. I can’t deny his looks or talents but my loyalties are still with the home team.

On to more hot guys. My new crush of the 2008 football season is Ovie Mughelli from the Atlanta Hawks. He has such a cute smile and his body is…well I’ll let you be the judge. Plus this guy stays involved in his community. I love men that give back.

Box of Chocolates

Pinks Cleats is BACK! And yes I’ve been a little bit lazy so feel free to post any of your complaints but the blog is up and running again and this season I will be getting some help from a few of my lovely friends.

Alright then, let’s talk about some football. Darren McFadden was the talk of town on draft day but to be honest I don't think that he'll have a spectacular season. Yes, it’s a pretty bold statement but everyone can’t be Adrian Peterson. A lot of college football players don’t have the same success in the big league. Look at Patrick Ramsey, Rashard Anderson and the newest member of the bust family, Cedric Benson. Nothing is guaranteed in the NFL and I hope Darren understands the challenge that lies ahead of him. Maybe Darren McFadden will prove me wrong and I hope that he does for the sake of the Raiders fans. However, only time will tell and if Mr. McFadden does have a breakthrough season I will send him a handwritten letter of apology with my phone number written at the bottom.

Regardless of whether Darren McFadden does well, my point is this: things aren’t always what they seem in the NFL. Teams that made it to the playoffs last year will miss the cut this year. First round draft picks will struggle while second round draft picks will break NFL records. Get ready for some surprises. It’s going to be a circus (and yes I do have my popcorn ready). The 2008 NFL regular season is almost upon us.
