The NFL Goes Pink For a Good Cause

Over 100 NFL players will be wearing pink cleats this Sunday to support National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The idea came from running back DeAngelo Williams of the Carolina Panthers (this is why I love running backs). Players will also be wearing pink gloves and sweatbands. Frankly, I love the idea of the NFL supporting Breast Cancer Awareness Month. My grandmother is a breast cancer survivor and I can really appreciate all of the work the NFL has put into promoting breast cancer awareness.

The Pass Him Over Here Hottie of the Week

Move over Reggie Bush, there is a new hottie in town. Pierre Thomas rushed for 126 yards against Bufallo and led the Saints to a 27-7 victory. Running Backs will always have a special place in my heart, so that's why he' s this week's featured hottie. Thomas is from my hometown of Chicago... you gotta love those Chi-town boys.

Lions and Tigers and Neon Green Uniforms?

Question of the Day
Are the Jets serious playoff contenders ?

The Lions Finally Win....
And I'm not surprised. I called this one from the start. The Skins only put up 9 points against the Rams.... the Rams!!! I don't know what's going on in DC but Zorn needs to get things together quickly! I do have to give Detroit some credit though. They aren't looking too bad these days.

The Bengals beat the Steelers?
The champs seem to be suffering from a big Super Bowl hangover. Well no one saw this one coming. Carson Palmer is an experienced quarterback and Chad is a great receiver but I'm still scratching my head about this game. I guess the tables are turning. It happens every year. I'm not giving up on the Steelers because we have a lot of football to go but everyone needs to keep an eye on Cincy. They like being the underdogs. It fuels thie fire. Btw I loved Ochocinco's appearance on the MNF pre-game show... free entertainment. Oh wait I have to pay for my cable. Damn.

They are who we thought they were...
Kermit the Frog Impersonators. Maybe Coach Mora should have gone off on the people that decided to dress the Seahwaks in those hideous uniforms. I really do feel bad for Olindo Mare but he needs to make every kick, especially if it's under 50 yards. Nevertheless, Mora didn't throw Mare under a bus, he threw him under a train. His rant reminds of former NFL coach. Can you guess which one I'm talking about. Yes, it's Dennis Green.... Hmmm I guess green stands out in the NFC West.

Good Kitty, Bad Kitty
Carolina just looked bad last night. Jake Delhomme is either on or completely off. I know that the team has a few injuries but that's the NFL. You just have to keep on moving. Things aren't looking too good for Carolina, especially since Mr. Brees is in their division. By the way, the kids from the Big Easy put up 27 points and Drew Brees didn't even throw a touchdown pass! Carolina needs to channel it's inner kitty cat and bring out the claws. Besides, Steve Smith doesn't look as hot when he's angry.

"The Catch"
Favre was able to rally the Viks back with a miracle throw but I don't think that he should get all the glory. Greg Lewis made an amazing catch. He knew where he was in the end zone and he got his feet down. I tip my hat to Mr. Lewis. And yes Favre still has his magic. As a Bears fan I'm thrilled....

The Eagles are down to three quarterbacks
Get Well Soon....We wish Stafon Johnson all the best
Felix Jones is hurt again... and he's been doing so well

Random Stuff
Why is the 10 o'clock news talking about Christmas ? It's only September. This comment has absolutely nothing to do with football. Sorry. LOL

The Pass Him Over Here Hottie of the Week

Well it looks like the Jets have a new quarterback. They had a big win over the Pats this weekend and are now 2-0. Hello Mr. Sanchez…

NFL Week 2

Question of the Day?
Can Miami still make the playoffs? (Maybe they should work on thier 2 min. drill)

The G -Men steal Jerry’s spotlight
Jerry Jones built a new city but that didn’t stop the G-Force from stealing the show. The
Cowboys had the lead with 3:40 left in the game but Eli Manning rallied his troops to victory. I know Jerry was a little ticked off but anything goes in the Wild Wild West. Turnovers were a big factor in this game, but I must admit that the interception caught off of Witten’s shoe was just bizarre. In the end, the same ol’ problems kept on haunting America’s Team. Maybe Jerry should have built a new quaterback. Thoughts?

Da Bears Steel one from Da Champs
Damn that Kicker! I know Steelers fans around the world are cursing Jeff Reed name. He missed two huge field goals and the Bears were able to capitalize. The MVP of the game was definitely former gator Gator Alex Brown. He had a big sack during the fourth quater. Chomp! Johnny Knox also had a great game.

How many sacks?
Antwan Odem had five sacks on Aaron Rodgers when Cincy rolled into Lambeau Field this past Sunday.Green Bay O- Line are you there?

A former Bear finds a new home in Da Bay
The Ravens now have an offense to go with their dominant defense
The Saints now have a defense to go with their explosive offense

Extras
I love all of the AP Commercials. He should be named the Pink Cleats Hottie of the Year. I feel so bad because I’m a Bears fan but every time I see him in a commercial my heart skips a beat. Maybe we can get married after he leaves the NFC North or retires…….

Side Note: Never step on the Terrible Towel. The Titians had the best record in NFL last year but they left the playoff race early and now have a big 0 in the win column. The Steelers are still the reigning Superbowl Champs. I’m just saying…..
