Week 4

Question of the Day
Which team will give the Vikings thier first loss?

The Brady Rule
I guess the NFL isn’t exciting without its leading quarterback, right? Wrong. I understand where the league is coming from its new roughing the passer rule, but I also sympathize with Ray Lewis and his team. However, some things are just out of our control and I’m sure the Ravens aren’t using the two bogus roughing the passer calls as an excuse for their loss. At the end of the day, this game shows us that the NFL is a business. It wants to protect its marquee players and who can blame them. Brady has three super bowl rings and was hurt all of last season. Are we really that surprised he got the refs to penaliz the Ravens. It’s not right but sometimes that’s how the cookie crumbles. Jordan retired with six rings after playing 14 seasons in the NBA. He fouled out 10 times. Some people may think that I’m comparing apples with oranges but in professional sports in all about the green(bean).

Manning Heaven
The Giants, Colts and Saints are all 4-0. The Manning camp must be jumping for joy. Maybe we can get Archie in on the the next Oreo commercial. Your thoughts?

Riding on a High
Josh McDaniels is not playing around in Denver. The Broncos are off to a 4- o start and have a commanding two game lead in the AFC West division over the Chargers. Everyone pretty much wrote the Broncos off after they Jay Cutler to the Bears; however, it seems like McDaniels is getting the last laugh. Denver’s upcoming schedule is not exactly easy so to speak but I’m sure the team will peresever. In the Mile High City it’s all about defense baby! It doesn’t hurt to have Brandon Marshall and Eddie Royal either.

The Bengals Deserve the Thrown
The Bengals are the drama kings of 2009. Every game they’ve played this year has come down to the last minute. I thought the Bears were drama king but the Bengals can take the thrown. This week the Bengals went into overtime with the Browns after Bengals kicker, Shayne Graham missed an extra point. In overtime, the Browns were forced to punt the ball with just a minute left in overtime and the Bengals made them pay by scoring the game-winning field goal. Hey, it wasn’t pretty but Chad and the gang are 3-1 and serious contenders in the AFC. Plus, you have to love the drama. Blowouts games aren't any fun; however I can sympathize f with the Bengals fans. I’m sure that a few of them are growing premature grey hairs as we speak.

Side Note
